Glory 2 Glory is the twin brother / sister duo of
Ronnie and Connie Gilbert.

At the age of sixteen, Ronnie wrote his first song, and since that time he has become an exceptional songwriter with over 500 songs to date.

The Gilberts

My twin sister and I were born in San Angelo, Texas. At an early age we moved to East Texas, where we grew up. We had a wonderful family and lived life to the fullest. Our father and mother loved the Lord with all their hearts and were so much in love with each other. I can never remember not going to church. God was the center of everything we did.

One morning in early October, when I was ten years old, became a day I would never forget. While I was playing in the backyard, my older step-brother, Danny, came out to tell me that our daddy had died. I didn't know what to think at that time, but my sister took the news very hard. She didn't even go to the funeral...and it took her a long time to get over his death.

But thank God we were taught the Word of God, and soon we began to heal. My mom, on the other hand, jumped right back into her work and started preaching. After all, this was her second husband she had buried. Her first husband had died when a drunk driver hit his truck broadside. It caught on fire and blew up with him in it. She was left with a 5- year-old, 3-year-old and 5-month-old baby.

Three years later my mother married my father, and just a couple years later we came along. She didn't know she was having twins at the time. Oh, by the way, did I tell you that my mom was an identical twin, and her mom too? But me and Jesus broke that line. When I got married I knew the word, believed and spoke it. So when my wife was having a baby, I believed God for a boy first and a girl second. And that's what I got!

Well, back to my story. I taught myself how to play music by ear and started playing in church at the age of sixteen. When mom started holding revival meetings, I would go and sing with her. We traveled all over East Texas.

I also wrote my first song when I was sixteen. Song writing became my way of spreading the good news of Jesus. My sister, Connie, joined me singing at the age of seventeen. Back then we were known as The Gilbert Twins. We sang together until each of us got married and began to have a family. Now that our kids are grown, we know that God has called us back right where we left 0ff. God is so good. We still sing together like we never quit.

We want to spread the Word of God in song, and proclaim the good news of Jesus and what He has done. We changed our name though. Now we are called Glory 2 Glory. Our first CD release on First Love Records is "We've Won The Victory."
